Meeting Mins March 8th

Thanks everyone who came.  We had a full house and got a lot done.  Our next meeting is March 22nd, 919 26^th Ave. South, Seattle. 

General Information:

1.      Reunion:

      To be held at the Yesler Community Center (917 E Yesler Way, Seattle) with        Precise           Catering.

2.      Entertainment Committee:

      Report out by Team Lead A. Marie Massey-Nunley, Cleven Ticeson, Eugene Harris

      We want to have a evening of fun to kick off the Class of 69’s High School

-          Friday 8/7 – Bowling Night

-          Saturday 8/8 – The Main Event:  Dinner – and an evening of dinning dancing and socializing with one another; music is to be provided by DJ Robin Summerise

-          Sunday 8/9 – Picnic (park is TBD)

2.  Outreach and Publicity Committee:

      Report out by – Team Lead Marybeth Turner and Cleven Ticeson

-          Alumni contact information–Anyone with contact information, please forward it to us. There are classmates we do not know how to contact.  We’re looking for married name (if different), phone number(s), mailing address, and e-mail address.

-          Mailing–we will mail a “keep the date” card or flyer.

-          Video–we would like to produce a brief video to use as a public service announcement on Seattle Channel, and also to post on You Tube with links on various internet sites. Cleve Ticeson is the lead for this.

-          Advertising/Media–we are looking into ads in the Facts and other community newspapers. We will distribute a news release. Also, we will post reunion announcement on Craig’s list, Facebook, etc.

-          Time line–we are developing this.

-          Please share with us any suggestions, or interesting information about alumni for the video or a news story–also, any photos from our school years.  If others would like to help us on this committee, please let us know.

 

3.     Pictures:  Still looking for lots of old pictures.  If you have some, please contact Alan    or Marybeth Turner.

4.   Next Steps:  Continuation of above.  Setting the ticket price.

Future Meeting Dates:  March 22^nd, April 5^th, 19^th, May 3^rd, 17^th, June 14^th, July 12^th.

Meetings will be held at 919 26^th Ave South, Seattle unless otherwise noted.
